About

Associate Professor at Northumbria University, Senior Fellow of the UK Higher Education Academy, Affiliate Professor at Grenoble Ecole de Management and Visiting Lecturer at Universite Grenoble Alpes. One of the original cohort of ‘Erasmus’ students in 1987 and formerly a strategic marketer and innovation manager in international industry, Alison has been involved in a series of highly successful European / Korean funded projects. She was nominated to the UK Higher Education Academy as National Teaching Fellow for her work on student mobility. The KEUDOS project, for which she led Northumbria’s participation, was runner-up for the THE’s ‘Best International Collaboration’ Award in 2014. Her action research revolves around the execution of strategy through strategic entrepreneurship, often focussing on international mobility. Alison led the team which bid successfully for H2020 funding which subsequently developed into the GETM3 project, which she now leads. She lives in Northumberland with her family.
