About

Aleksandra Wycisk, PhD research and analysis specialist in the Centre for Innovation and Technology Transfer Management at WUT. PhD in sociology (with honors), graduate in sociology and cultural studies at University of Silesia, Katowice, Poland. In Research and Analysis Department, WUT, Aleksandra specialises in qualitative methods and focuses on processes of social adaptation of innovation and academic entrepreneurship. Aleksandra is passionate about urban sociology and research on the processes of reinterpretation of urban meanings. Her doctoral thesis concerned the social reception of city marketing and process of building the image of the city (the grant of the National Science Centre, PL). Aleksandra published several articles or chapters in both Polish and foreign books and journals, incl. in Polish Sociological Review, Economics. Market, economy, society, Upper Silesian Sociological Studies. New series, Palimpsest. Sociological Journal of the Jagiellonian University.
